The 'Zorro' Way!

I was watching “The Mask of Zorro” the other night.  You know, the most recent version that stars that hottie, Antonio Banderas and the breathtakingly beautiful, Catherine Zeta-Jones? 

Yeah… it’s one of my favs. 

 

It got me thinking…wouldn’t it be cool if we could just leave our brand anywhere we wanted by whipping out our swords and in a flash, carve our logo whenever, and wherever we chose?  Walls, trees, on car doors or even the front of someone’s suit!  Man, that Zorro had clout (and a very fast horse)!

 

There IS a very slight problem with that.  In this day and age, it’s called defacing public property.  Or it could possibly even be interpreted as ‘assault with a deadly weapon’.  Yeesh!  Either way, with this type of branding or advertising there just aren’t too many understanding people out there (yeah, I don’t get it either).

 

Of course, and this is only my opinion, I truly believe that if Zorro would have only known about Exceptional Specialty Products, his and the lovely Elena’s lives would have been so much easier.  He’d probably still be a ‘wanted man’, but it would be for his business and what he could offer people, and not because he ripped someone’s curtains to shreds. 

Poor Zorro.

An Undercover Reporter from The Daily Snews has once again discovered scandal at Exceptional Specialty Products (esp), based in Urbandale, Iowa!

 

 

Exceptional Specialty Products, well known for its helpful service was AGAIN caught in the act of making a customer happy.  Cindy Taylor was on a very tight time frame to get an order of 250 t-shirts delivered to her client.  She and her team bustled to get the printing and the delivery done on time!  The mission was accomplished on time, and a happy, grateful client was relieved, and ecstatic with the quality!

 

Reporter:  "Cindy, what is going on here??"

My Knight in Shining Armor!

I believe the majority of people are inherently good.  Of course there are a few boogers among us, but for the most part there are not many people who wouldn’t lend a hand or help in whatever way possible. 

 

But once-in-a-while a person comes along who stands out and goes above and beyond.  They come through for you in a big way and just at the right time! 

 

My own knight in shining armor came to my rescue this very week!

 

I just recently began this blog….I set it up myself.  Being a new blogger, I didn’t have it all ‘just right’ and was having some problems with some things….particularly the ‘subscribe’ or RSS feature.  I just could not get it figured out.  I tweeted the problem and got a few suggestions, but not being very savvy to ‘tech stuff’, I still had issues. 

 

Knight Mike Sansone to the rescue!  The BlogFather himself!  What an honor!!

 

He responded to my plea and we made a date and met at his castle (Panera Bread) a couple days later.  He figured out my problem in seconds.  He walked me through it and a cup of coffee later, had it finished!!  He slayed my dragon…just like magic!

 

So.  I just want to say publicly, “Thank you, Mike!  You’re the best!”

I was listening to the radio this morning and 80% of the people surveyed believe we pay too much in taxes…the other 20% didn’t think so.  Really? Twenty percent? Wow!  I wonder if any of them ever contribute an extra $200 or so when they send their taxes in?  Kind of an ‘atta boy’ to the government for a job well done?  Yeah, whatever.

 

As much as we dislike April 15^th, it IS nice to get it behind us so we don’t have it constantly picking at our subconscious.  Now we can take a deep breath and begin to focus on other things…things that are good and fun!  Like picnics, bike riding and golf (just to name a few)!

So you’re asking yourself…’why is she telling us knock, knock jokes’? Heck I don’t know….why not?  When was the last time you told or heard a good knock, knock joke (‘good’ being the key word here).

 

I guess the truth is, I was just thinking about kids and what great, creative little minds they have!  They love learning and they really love having FUN!  I thought of all the childhood jokes, riddles and just plain silliness of being a kid.  It’s too bad we tend to lose some (if not most) of that as we grow older. 

 

Children are so smart and their hungry little minds are constantly picking up information and storing it away…some good and some not-so-good.  The world is a big place and there is so much to learn!  As adults, it’s our job to educate our kids…steer them in the right direction – preferably in a fun, exciting way.

 

As adults in the community, why not help educate children about your business or maybe a safety issue? Why not consider coloring books, activity or sticker books?
